The Role:
We’re looking for a talented and passionate head chef to join and lead the kitchen team. As well as your passion for cooking and all things food related, you are a creative and driven chef with an evolving interest in menu development. Through your years of experience, you have developed your own management style, which balances the calm needed to handle the pressures of the kitchen with the assertiveness to push staff to achieve their potential.
A few key responsibilities of the role include;
o To maintain consistent quality and quantity control in all aspects, from portion control to freshness of the food presented
o To have total control over the stock levels, ordering process and cleanliness of the kitchen
o To be responsible for training and development of your team to ensure everyone is utilised to the best of their potential
o To understand and comply with food hygiene regulations and HACCP, as well as COSSH trained.
You will bring:
o Prior experience in a premium gastro pub or similar environment, being creative and led by the produce to create a fresh menu
o Passion for the industry and an enthusiasm to progress and develop the food offering to keep guests engage and coming back
o Experience managing a team including training, development, and performance reviews
o A leadership style that involves leading from the front and showing the team how it’s done – this is a hands on role
o Great communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the whole venue team & HO
You will report to the Group Head Chef and will work closely together to ensure the kitchen team are thriving and the menu offered reflects the demand and style of our guests. It is your menu and your vision which set the tone of the venue and as a result, we want to find the right balance of personality and experience.
