Job Purpose
To lead and own the Events & Production department at Hedonist Creative, ensuring all projects are delivered to a high standard, on budget and with strong commercial performance. This is a department ownership role, with full accountability for output, standards and profitability. This role is responsible for driving efficiency, profitability and consistency across all events, builds and activations. It requires a hands-on leader who can oversee complex, high-value projects while creating scalable processes that support the long-term growth of the department.
Leadership & Line Management
- Line manage the Event Managers and Production Manager, providing clear direction, prioritisation, feedback and development.
- Own resourcing and delivery planning across all events and production projects, ensuring the team is structured effectively to deliver
- Set the standard for output, delivery and behaviour across the department, ensuring consistent quality across all work
- Build capability within the team through clear processes, training and ongoing performance management.
- Take full ownership of the department, acting as the senior point of accountability for all events and production output.
Events & Production Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning and delivery of all events, activations and production builds across the agency.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time, on budget and to a high standard of execution.
- Take a hands-on role in leading high-value, complex or strategically important projects where required.
- Work closely with client services and commercial teams to ensure scopes are realistic, deliverable and commercially viable.
- Lead supplier relationships, negotiating effectively to deliver quality and value.
- Travel as required to oversee key events and builds, both in the UK and internationally.
Financial & Operational Management
- Take full responsibility for departmental financial performance, including budget management, cost control and margin improvement.
- Track and manage project budgets at a topline level, ensuring financial accountability across the team.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs and increase profitability without compromising quality.
- Implement and refine processes across planning, budgeting, procurement and delivery to drive consistency and scalability.
- Ensure clear financial visibility across all projects and a proactive approach to risk management.
General
- Represent Hedonist Creative values at all times.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams, clients and suppliers.
- Stay close to industry trends in events, production and hospitality, bringing new ideas and efficiencies into the business.

Person Specification
- Strong experience in events and production, ideally within hospitality, drinks or experiential.
- Proven experience managing budgets and delivering projects with clear commercial accountability.
- Experience leading and developing teams within an agency or production environment.
- A commercially driven mindset, with a focus on profitability, efficiency and delivery standards.
- Confident managing complex projects from planning through to execution.
- Highly organised with a strong focus on process, systems and continuous improvement.
- Hands-on and proactive, with the ability to step into delivery when needed.
- A natural leader who takes ownership and drives performance across a department.
