JOB TITLE: Chef de Partie (Pizza Chef)
RESPONSE TO: Restaurant Manager
RESPONSIBLE FOR: Commis Chefs
PURPOSE: To run a designated section of the kitchen to the highest standards, adhering to food hygiene, health & safety regulations. To assist the Management team in preparing and delivering the restaurant menu to the standards set out in the recipes. To guide and train those working with the team and kitchen as instructed.
Main Responsibilities and Duties:
- To order food stocks and dry stores to meet the requirements of the section.
- To manage all due diligence procedures on a daily basis.
- To ensure that all necessary mise-en-place is prepared and that all necessary work is completed prior to commencement of service.
- To confirm with the Restaurant Manager any special requirements for service.
- To ensure the standard of all food from the section is as per the recipe file before it leaves the kitchen, i.e., quality, standard of presentation and service adhered to.
- To minimise wastage, ensuring correct stock rotation and stock levels in fridges, dry store room and cupboards.
- To cover any section or shift when needed, including covering sickness, holiday and Bank holidays, if required.
- To manage the training of new and existing Commis chefs and Kitchen Porters.
- To report all accidents or hazards to the Restaurant Manager.
- To write down every accident in the designated Accident book.
- To ensure that all work areas are maintained and kept in a clean and tidy state at all times, following set procedures.
- All the above responsibilities are in conjunction with the superior on shift in order to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
- To ensure you receive full training before using any dangerous equipment.
- To take reasonable care for your own safety.
- To ensure the health and safety of colleagues, guests and anyone else at work.
- To maintain the required standard of personal appearance at all times.
- To adhere to the Company Safety Policies and attend statutory training sessions.
- To assist management in maintaining a safe working environment.
- To follow and carry out the cleaning rota’s as per instructed, following COSHH guidelines when handling chemicals.
- Report any maintenance faults immediately to the Restaurant Manager.
- To be fully aware of the Company Fire Procedures and the location of fire exits.
- To have the Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
- To adhere to and follow Food Hygiene, regulations including HACCAP.
- To adhere to and follow Health and Safety at Work Act.
General:
- To attend training when required.
- To be conversant with the business's uniform standard and ensure team members adhere to it at all times.

- To participate in your annual appraisal.

Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
