Pay: £16 - £20 per hour based off experience
We are seeking a highly skilled and professional HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team. This role involves operating large heavy goods vehicles to transport goods efficiently and safely across various locations. Duties
- Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles, including flatbed trucks, ensuring compliance with all road safety laws and company policies
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards and vehicle reliability
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes, logs, and compliance paperwork
- Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with clients and customers during deliveries
- Report any vehicle issues or incidents promptly to ensure swift resolution and safety compliance
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, particularly with flatbed loads and delivery operations
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards applicable to heavy goods vehicle operation
- Strong driving skills with the ability to handle large vehicles in diverse conditions
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as loading/unloading cargo when necessary
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight schedules
- Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients
