An experienced Hairdresser is required who is experienced in older men and women’s hairdressing.
We have this role at Hillside Care Home as we feel that it is best for the Hairdresser to really feel part of the team. You will need to enjoy working with older people as you would be repsonsible for doing the hair of up to 58 residents on a regular basis. At Hillside, we have our own Hair Salon within the home and so your work environment is professional and pleasant. You would need to be confident at working independently.
This Part-Time Hairdressing role itself is for 12 hours each week spread across a couple of days. One of the real benefits of the role is its flexibility. We envisage the start and end times being something like 9:30-16:00, but again, we can be pretty flexible around this if you’ve got other commitments, such as child care for example. Likewise, we envisage flexibility around days of the week and probably even around half term holidays.
If you wanted to do more hours than the 12 that we envisage then additional hours would be available to you as a carer.
