Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Qualified Dental Nurse/ Trainee Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent patient care, managing reception duties, and supporting the clinical team. Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them throughout their visit, ensuring a positive experience
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise equipment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Assist dentists during procedures, including passing instruments and managing materials
- Manage appointment scheduling, patient records, and administrative tasks using IT systems
- Provide clear information to patients regarding treatments, aftercare, and billing procedures
- Ensure the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and organised at all times
- Handle patient enquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Support infection control protocols and maintain high standards of cleanliness within the practice
Requirements
- recognised qualification as a Dental Nurse with/without valid GDC registration
- Previous experience in a dental setting is preferred but not essential; training can be provided for the right candidate
- Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Proficiency in IT systems relevant to dental practice management
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining attention to detail
- Professional attitude with a commitment to high standards of hygiene and safety standards
