A Table Café is looking for an experienced Barista & Front of House team member to join our busy independent brunch café on a part-time or full-time basis.
We're looking for someone who is confident behind the coffee machine and passionate about delivering excellent customer service. You should be able to prepare consistently high-quality coffee, including latte art, while providing a warm and welcoming experience for our customers. This is a fast-paced role, so you'll need to be organised, proactive, and comfortable multitasking.
Responsibilities
- Prepare high-quality espresso-based coffees, teas and cold drinks
- Confidently steam milk and produce latte art
- Welcome customers and provide friendly, attentive service
- Take food and drink orders accurately
- Serve food and beverages promptly
- Clear, clean and reset tables
- Operate the POS system and handle payments
- Maintain a clean and organised coffee station and front of house
- Assist with light food preparation when required
- Ensure food hygiene and food safety standards are maintained
- Restock supplies throughout the shift
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience is essential
- Confident with espresso extraction, milk texturing and latte art
- Previous front of house or café experience preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Able to work efficiently in a busy café environment
- Reliable, organised and punctual
- Comfortable carrying multiple plates and working on your feet throughout the shift
- Flexible availability, including weekends
