St Bernards is a family-run care home in the Olton conservation area, providing residential and dementia care in a beautifully restored Edwardian house since 1982. ## The role
As Deputy Manager, you'll work alongside the Registered Manager to lead the day-to-day running of the home — supporting and developing the care team, overseeing medication administration and care planning, and helping embed the audits and evidence that underpin strong, consistent CQC compliance. You'll deputise fully in the Registered Manager's absence, including taking part in the manager on-call rota.
This role is ideal for an experienced **Senior Carer or Team Leader ready to take the next step into management** — we'll support you fully through your Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care. Candidates with existing Deputy Manager experience are equally welcome to apply.
## What we're looking for
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (essential)
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, or willingness to work towards it (fully funded by us)
- Proven experience as a Senior Carer, Team Leader, or Deputy Manager in a residential or dementia care setting
- Strong working knowledge of dementia care, safeguarding, and medication management
- Confidence leading, coaching, and rota-managing a care team
- Flexibility to take part in the manager on-call rota
- Right to work in the UK
