Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Barista / Creperie Team Member to join our vibrant café team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, creating high-quality beverages and food items, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. You will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee beverages, crepes, and light snacks while ensuring food safety standards are upheld. Previous barista experience and a friendly demeanour are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and speciality beverages in accordance with company standards
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions, and provide excellent service
- Prepare fresh crepes, light snacks, and other food items following food safety guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and customer areas throughout shifts
- Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the point-of-sale system efficiently
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
- Uphold food safety standards at all times, including proper storage and handling of ingredients
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
Requirements
- Proven experience as a barista or in a similar food service role, preferably within a creperie or café environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Strong serving skills with the ability to engage positively with customers
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and measuring ingredients
- Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends if required
- A friendly personality with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences
