Duties
- Install new electrical wiring, outlets, switches, and fixtures following safety standards and technical specifications
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify issues or potential hazards
- Repair or replace faulty wiring, circuit breakers, transformers, and other electrical components using hand tools and power tools
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections performed
- Troubleshoot electrical problems efficiently to minimize downtime and ensure safety compliance
- Collaborate with other tradespeople or contractors during large-scale projects to complete tasks on schedule
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and promote a safe working environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience working as an Electrician or in a similar electrical role with a strong understanding of electrical systems
- Proficiency with hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, and multimeters
- Skilled in using power tools including drills, saws, and voltage testers for installation and repair tasks
- Solid knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and best practices
- Ability to read blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics accurately
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and safety awareness
- Relevant certifications or licenses as required by local regulations (e.g., Electrical License) are preferred
