Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Gymnastics Coach to join our vibrant team. The successful candidate will be responsible for instructing participants of various ages and skill levels, fostering a safe and motivating environment that encourages physical development and confidence. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about sports coaching and teaching to make a positive impact within our community.
Ideally, we are looking for somebody with a level 1 or higher qualification. However, we are willing to consider applications from experienced gymnasts .
Working hours are going to be evenings and weekends.
Specifically looking for somebody Saturdays, however we are open Tuesdays and Thursdays with a new day plan starting in September so we are very flexible what hours are available various evenings and Saturdays
Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging gymnastics training sessions tailored to different age groups and abilities
- Demonstrate proper techniques and safety procedures to minimise risk during activities
- Monitor participants’ progress, providing constructive feedback and encouragement
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during training sessions
- Organise warm-up and cool-down routines to prevent injuries
- Maintain equipment and ensure the training area is clean, organised, and safe at all times
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that promotes teamwork, discipline, and enjoyment of the sport
- Keep accurate records of attendance, progress, and any incidents or concerns
Experience
- Previous experience in sports coaching or teaching, preferably within gymnastics or similar physical disciplines
- Strong understanding of gymnastics techniques, safety standards, and coaching best practices
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage participants effectively
- Relevant coaching qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential; willingness to obtain necessary certifications is expected
- Passion for sports education with a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment
