Summary
The Governing Body of Walton-Le-Dale Primary School are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to cover a maternity leave in upper KS2.
The role will involve working with individual children as well as supporting small groups to support the education, personal and social development of pupils, including those with special needs.
We are a strong staffing team who encourage each other. Our children are enthusiastic and well behaved. We want staff who are enthusiastic and willing to learn. This position is fixed term, and the expected return of the current postholder is May 2027 though this could be extended to cover the remainder of the academic year. The hours are 8.40am - 3pm Monday to Thursday with a 55 minute break for lunch, and 8.40am - 12.30pm on Friday.

Essential Qualifications
NVQ Level 2 qualification or above appropriate to the post (or equivalent)
Desirable Qualifications
- Paediatric First Aid Level 3
Essential Experience
- Experience of working with or caring for children of an appropriate age
Desirable Experience
- Experience of working in a relevant classroom environment
Experience of supporting pupils with special needs
