About the Role
View Forth Glazing is looking for an experienced and reliable Glazier to join our team in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of glazing and glass installation work across domestic and commercial properties, delivering a high standard of workmanship and excellent customer service.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, works well independently and as part of a team, and is committed to maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, replace and repair glass in domestic and commercial properties.
- Measure and cut glass accurately to required specifications.
- Install windows, doors, mirrors, units and other glazing products.
- Carry out emergency and remedial glazing work where required.
- Remove damaged or broken glass safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all installations are completed to a high standard.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
- Liaise professionally with customers and provide a friendly, reliable service.
- Complete jobs efficiently while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
- Follow all relevant health and safety procedures.
- Maintain tools, equipment and company vehicles in good working order.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working as a glazier.
- Good knowledge of glazing techniques, materials and equipment.
- Ability to accurately measure, handle and install glass.
- Good practical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and manage jobs effectively.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Commitment to health and safety.
Desirable
- Experience in both domestic and commercial glazing.
- Experience with uPVC, aluminium and timber windows and doors.
- Experience with double-glazed units and replacement glass.
- CSCS or relevant industry qualifications.
- Previous experience with emergency glazing or repair work.
