About this opportunity:
Pawpadour are looking for an apprentice with ambition, talent and a passion for dog grooming to join their salon. Pawpadour Dog & Cat Grooming Salon is an independent professional grooming salon based in South London. We provide high-quality grooming services for dogs and cats, including breed specific grooming, styling, bathing, nail care and specialist treatments. We focus on providing a friendly, calm environment where pets receive personalised care while maintaining high standards of welfare, hygiene and customer service. We also provide hands-on training and development opportunities for people looking to build a career in the pet grooming industry.
On a typical day the apprentice will assist with preparing dogs for their grooming appointments, bathing, drying, brushing, nail trimming and general coat care. They will gradually learn to assist with and carry out full grooms under supervision, while developing safe handling, grooming techniques and customer service skills.
As their confidence and skills grow, they will have the opportunity to work with different breeds and coat types, learn breed-specific grooming and styling techniques, and gain hands-on experience in a professional, busy salon. There will also be opportunities to develop specialist skills and take on more responsibility as they progress through their apprenticeship.

Desired Qualifications
Applicants must not already hold a level 2 or higher in dog grooming to be eligible.
GCSE’s in maths and English, preferred but not essential
Training Provided
Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.
The applicant will be working towards a Level 2 Dog Grooming Apprenticeship
The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship.
