We are now offering an excellent opportunity for a Trainee Estimating Administrator to join the team and assist with the day to day estimating duties.
Job Description
The role of an Estimating Administrator would be to support the estimating team in the preparation, processing and submission of tenders for commercial contracts throughout the UK.
The main duties and responsibilities of the role include:
- Gain a full understanding of the tender process and tender documentation booking in process.
- Preparation of tender documents into the structured filing system enabling our estimators to develop the cost build up.
- Keep the estimators and tender documentation up to date when new / revised information is received.
- Populating the tender index with new opportunities / enquiries / tender submission dates and values.
- Utilising online tendering and opportunity portals.
- Liaise with the estimators and operational teams to assist with the handover of tenders into live projects.
- Create project folders with the information used in the submitted bid.
- Maintain and update the Subcontract and project tracker.
- Ad-hoc administrative duties as required.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate:
- Willingness to learn and an enthusiasm to develop into the role
- A high level of IT proficiency, particularly within Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent numerical skills
- Ability to work to a high degree of accuracy with excellent time management awareness
- Able to demonstrate professional communications at all levels
- Strong organisational skills
- Experience in a Similar role would be beneficial but not essential
