We are looking for a motivated and detail-orientated Finishing Operative to join our Finishing Team! This role is based at our offices in South Shields and will be full time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. Flexibility may be required as overtime may be available.

Your Role:
As a Finishing Operative, you will be the cornerstone of our customer relations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Handling customers print, including preparation, finishing, and packing.
- Operating machinery, collaborating with in-house and third-party providers, and maintaining equipment to a high standard.
- Meticulously inspecting and verifying the quality of received items to ensure they meet established standards.
- Execute various finishing tasks, such as collating, binding, counting, banding, and drilling.
- Utilising both machine and manual finishing techniques to achieve optimal results.
- Maintaining and troubleshooting finishing equipment to ensure seamless operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Handling customer print jobs including preparation, finishing, and packing
- Operating finishing machinery and collaborating with internal and third-party teams
- Inspecting materials for quality and accuracy
- Performing tasks such as collating, binding, counting, banding, and drilling
- Using both machine and manual finishing techniques to achieve high standards
- Maintaining and troubleshooting finishing equipment
Your Experience and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in print finishing or a related field is preferred
- Familiarity with finishing machinery and manual techniques is desirable (training will be provided)
- Attention to detail and accuracy are essential
- Able to work well as part of a team and adapt to changing priorities
- Flexible and willing to work across departments to meet business demand
- Warehousing experience is beneficial but not essential
