ob Purpose
To accurately pack, box, seal, and shrinkwrap finished hairnet products in accordance with company quality standards, hygiene requirements, and production schedules. The role ensures products are prepared safely and efficiently for storage and distribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Pack finished hairnet products into cartons, boxes, or retail packaging according to specifications.
- Operate shrinkwrapping machines and related packaging equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect packaged products for quality, correct labelling, and packaging accuracy.
- Ensure correct product counts and batch information are maintained.
- Apply labels, barcodes, and pallet identification as required.
- Monitor packaging materials and report shortages or defects.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the production and packaging area.
- Follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), health & safety, and company procedures at all times.
- Assist with palletising and preparing goods for dispatch.
- Complete production and packaging records accurately.
- Identify and report machine faults, damaged materials, or quality issues promptly.
- Support continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives within the department.
Skills & Experience RequiredEssential
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, packing, or warehouse environment.
- Ability to follow written instructions and packaging specifications.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work to production targets and deadlines.
- Numeracy and computer literacy skills essential.
- Good understanding of workplace hygiene and safety practices.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Hands on and dextrous, able to lift 25kg
Desirable
- Experience operating shrinkwrapping or packaging machinery.
- Experience in PPE, textile, hygiene, or medical product manufacturing.
- Knowledge of GMP or ISO quality systems.
- Forklift licence (if applicable).

Pay: £12.71-£16.00 per hour
