Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organised Shop Assistant to join our retail team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, supporting merchandising efforts, and ensuring the smooth operation of the shop floor. Duties
- Greeting customers warmly and assisting with their enquiries in a professional manner
- Supporting merchandising activities by arranging products attractively and restocking counters as needed
- Upselling products to maximise sales opportunities while maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Managing transactions efficiently using the point-of-sale system, including handling cash and card payments
- Maintaining a clean and organised shop environment, ensuring displays are tidy and appealing
- Handling phone enquiries with courtesy and professionalism, adhering to proper phone etiquette
- Assisting with stock organisation, inventory checks, and replenishment tasks
- Managing time effectively to ensure all duties are completed within shift hours

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively

- Good time management to ensure efficient completion of daily responsibilities
- Organisational skills for maintaining neat displays and stock levels
- Phone etiquette for professional customer interactions over the phone or via messaging platforms
- Experience or knowledge of merchandising principles is desirable but not essential; training will be provided where necessary
