About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and support to individuals with a range of physical, emotional, and behavioural needs. You will work as part of a supportive team to promote independence, dignity, and well-being.
You will be expected to build positive relationships with the individuals we support, encouraging engagement in daily activities while helping to create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support in line with individual care plans.
- Support individuals with complex behaviours using positive behaviour support strategies.
- Monitor, observe, and accurately record changes in individuals' physical and emotional well-being.
- Encourage participation in social, recreational, educational, and community-based activities.
- Assist with meal preparation and provide support with eating and drinking where required.
- Support individuals to attend appointments and access the local community.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised environment within the Day Centre.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals.
- Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, medication, and organisational policies and procedures.
- Promote dignity, choice, inclusion, and person-centred care at all times.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to supporting vulnerable individuals.
- Able to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
- A strong communicator and team player.
- Reliable, flexible, and punctual with a positive attitude.
- Experienced in care or support work (desirable but not essential).
Requirements
- GCSEs or equivalent (preferred).
- A minimum of one year's experience in care or support work is desirable but not essential.
- A full UK driving licence is preferred.
- Good spoken and written English.
- This role requires a male Support Worker due to the specific needs of the individual being supported.

Working Hours
- 30 hours per week.
- Monday to Friday working pattern (hours to be discussed at interview).
