We are looking for a kind, reliable and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team in a residential care home supporting mainly residents living with dementia.
Contract: 36 hours per week
Shift times: 7:00am – 7:00pm
Weekend working: Every other weekend, according to the rota.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
About the role:
As a Care Assistant, you will support residents with their day-to-day needs while promoting their dignity, independence, comfort and wellbeing.
The role includes:
- Supporting residents with personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting and continence care.
- Assisting residents with meals, drinks and hydration.
- Supporting residents with mobility and transfers.
- Providing emotional support, reassurance and companionship.
- Supporting residents living with dementia in a calm, patient and respectful manner
- Encouraging residents to remain as independent as possible.
- Following individual care plans and risk assessments.
- Observing residents’ wellbeing and reporting any changes or concerns.
- Completing accurate and timely care records using PCS (Person Centred Software).
- Supporting residents with activities and daily routines.
- Working closely with senior carers, nurses, families and other members of the care team.
- Maintaining residents’ privacy, dignity, choices and confidentiality at all times.

Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
The successful applicant will be required to complete the relevant pre-employment checks, including references, an enhanced DBS check and proof of the right to work in the UK.
