Video Content Manager / Videographer
Grants Electrical — South West England (field-based, with travel)
Full-time · £25,000 per year · Permanent
About the role
Grants Electrical is a busy electrical contractor working across the South West, and we're hiring our first in-house Video Content Manager to film and tell the story of what we do every day.
You'll be out on site with our electricians recording real jobs, the team, and day-to-day life of the company — then editing that footage into videos for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and our other channels. You'll own the whole process: shooting, editing, captions, thumbnails, posting and keeping a consistent content schedule running.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can work independently, isn't precious about getting muddy boots on a building site, and knows how to turn everyday trade work into content people actually watch.
What you'll be doing
- Travelling to jobs across the South West with the team to film installs, rewires, call-outs and behind-the-scenes life
- Shooting video and photo content on site — jobs in progress, before/afters, the team, the vans, the day-to-day
- Editing short-form content (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) and longer YouTube videos
- Creating thumbnails, captions and titles, and posting to all channels
- Planning and managing a consistent weekly content calendar across every platform
- Building our YouTube channel and social following over time and reporting on what's working
- Managing footage libraries, backups and equipment
What we're looking for
- Proven experience shooting and editing video (show us your work — a portfolio, channel or reel is essential)
- Confident with editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut or similar)
- Strong understanding of what performs on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook
- Comfortable filming real people on real job sites — you'll need to build rapport with the team and customers
- Self-motivated and organised — you'll run this side of the business largely on your own
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the South West daily (essential)
Nice to have
- Photography skills
- Motion graphics / basic animation
- Drone licence (A2 CofC or GVC)
- Experience growing an account or channel from scratch
What you get
- £25,000 per year
- Travel expenses/mileage covered
- Company equipment provided (camera kit discussed at interview)
- Freedom to shape the role and creative direction — this is yours to build
- A friendly, established team and no two days the same
We plan to build a very large online youtube channel, you can help!
