Join our dynamic team as an Assistant Catering Manager and play a vital role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences! You will support the Catering Manager in supervising daily food production, managing a talented team, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hospitality. There will be days where you will be in charge of the operation/ opening up/ closing down.
Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing all aspects of catering operations, including food preparation, presentation, and service.
- Supervise and motivate a team of culinary staff, servers and kitchen assistants to ensure efficient workflow.
- Coordinate with clients to understand their needs, customize menus, and ensure timely delivery of catering services.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards and sanitation protocols across all catering activities.
- Support inventory management by monitoring supplies, ordering ingredients, and minimizing waste.
- Lead by example in delivering outstanding hospitality, ensuring guests receive friendly, professional service.
- Collaborate with the team to develop innovative menu options that highlight culinary creativity and quality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or related culinary roles within a restaurant , golf club or hotel setting.
- Demonstrated supervising or team management experience in hospitality or catering environments.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food production.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coordinate a diverse team.
- Familiarity with kitchen operations, including food presentation and serving techniques.
- Previous experience working in hospitality settings such as hotels or large-scale events is highly desirable.
- Additional skills such as barista experience or culinary training are considered a plus.
We require someone who is willing to work evenings and weekends as well as during the week. Finish and start times can vary due to the nature of the business , so flexibility is a must!
Ability to drive and a clean licence would be advantageous as we have a work vehicle that goes between our two sites.

Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 50.0 per week
