Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled, full-time or part-time MOT Tester to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of vehicles to ensure they meet safety and environmental standards. As an MOT Tester, you will play a crucial role in maintaining road safety and compliance for our clients. You will also be involved in inspecting vehicles to be sold on our retail site.
Duties
- Conduct MOT tests on a variety of vehicles, ensuring adherence to all legal and safety regulations.
- Document test results accurately and provide clear feedback regarding any issues found.
- Carry out inspections to meet the standards required for selling vehicles.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
- Work with other team members to enhance workshop efficiency and customer service.
- Stay updated on changes in regulations and testing procedures to ensure compliance.
Requirements
- A valid MOT testing qualification.
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle maintenance or repair.
- A good basic knowledge of fault diagnosing is beneficial.
- Proficiency in the use of power tools and hand tools relevant to automotive testing.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during inspections and repairs.
- Clear communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
