Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Motor Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and other vehicle components utilising hand tools and power tools.
- Assemble and disassemble vehicle parts with precision, following manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Use welding equipment for repairs requiring metal fabrication or structural reinforcement.
- Maintain detailed records of all repair work performed, including parts used and time spent on each task.
- Assist customers by explaining repair procedures, providing estimates, and ensuring their questions are addressed professionally.
- Lift heavy vehicle components safely using proper techniques and equipment to prevent injury or damage.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and technical diagrams.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
- Experience in vehicle maintenance, equipment repair, and troubleshooting complex mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy lifting, welding, and equipment handling.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and working in various positions for extended periods.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining high-quality standards.
- This position is part-time, with flexible working hours with the potential to increase to full-time employment.
