Job Role: Drainage Engineer
We are currently looking for a drainage engineer to join our friendly family run business.
You will be required to carry out drainage works to a high standard, working on your own and in a small team, these works will include but not be limited to; general unblocking, CCTV Surveys, drain lining and general fault finding.
When carrying out works for 1st Clearflow we aim for a first time fix, meaning that we try to fix a job on our first visit and not put it off for another day, setting us apart from other drainage companies.
This is a full time position:
8:00AM - 5:30PM
Mon - Fri
Salary and Benefits:
- The Salary is based on experience starting from £27000.00
- Additional commission earnt on work out of hours.
- 20 days paid holiday plus bank holidays.

- We offer paid Health and safety training covering, Working at height, Manual handling, Asbestos awareness and Confined space.
- Industry training.
- All engineers are supplied with full PPE.
We have also recently built a new training suite in our head office to aid additional training in the following: General Health and Safety, Basic Drainage, Advanced Drainage, CCTV Surveys, Basic Plumbing, & Water Mains.
What you need:
- Experience in drainage.
- Able to work on your own and with a small team.
- Able to use your own initiative.
- Represent the company by being presentable, positive and approachable.
- Good time keeping and punctuality is essential.
- Holder of a valid UK driving license.
- You must be older than 21 due to our vehicle insurance.
- Willingness to learn.
- Having certificates like Water jetting association is a bonus but not essential

Our aim is simply to assist a variety of clients in the industrial, commercial and domestic sectors with all their drainage, groundworks, plumbing and heating requirements. Our reputation is second to none and is built on service, quality, reliability and pricing. Currently working with nine local and county councils within Sussex, 5 NHS trusts, universities and private dwellings.
