The role
The Grammar School at Leeds is seeking an enthusiastic, inspiring and ambitious Head of Netball to lead and develop one of our flagship sports. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced coach and leader to shape the future of netball at one of the country's leading independent schools, building on strong foundations to deliver an outstanding programme that inspires participation, nurtures talent and supports excellence. Whether introducing students to the game for the first time or developing players to compete at the highest levels, you will ensure every student enjoys a positive, inclusive and rewarding experience.
Working closely with the Director of Sport and colleagues across the department, you will provide strategic leadership for the school's netball programme, overseeing coaching, fixtures, competitions and player development from the junior years through to senior teams. You will build strong relationships with students, parents, clubs and governing bodies, develop meaningful community partnerships, and contribute to raising the profile of netball and sport within the school and beyond. You will also play a key role in fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement across the wider sports department. You will attend Saturday morning fixtures each Saturday during term-time.
We are looking for a motivated and forward-thinking individual with excellent coaching, organisational and leadership skills, together with a genuine passion for developing young people through sport. In return, you will join a welcoming and ambitious school community that values excellence, teamwork and opportunity, where you will have the support and resources to make a lasting impact on students' sporting journeys and the continued success of our netball programme.
