We’re now looking for a Depot Operations Lead to take ownership of day‑to‑day operations across our yard, washbay and workshop in Dudley. This role is key to ensuring our products are prepared, maintained and delivered to customers safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
What You’ll Do
As a pivotal member of the depot leadership team, you’ll:
- Lead and support operational colleagues across the yard, washbay and workshop
- Champion a strong safety culture; complete risk assessments and drive continuous improvement
- Ensure all equipment is serviced, checked and presented to Garic’s quality standard
- Oversee PDI processes, stock quality and asset management through BCA and Insphire
- Manage workload planning and task allocation to keep the depot running smoothly
- Coordinate closely with Hire Desk and Transport to deliver orders on time and in full
- Control returned fleet checks, record damages and process customer charges accurately
- Support effective stock control for products and consumables
- Monitor overtime and manage operational costs in line with budget
What You’ll Bring
You’ll be a confident leader who can motivate a team and keep operations moving at pace. You will also have:
- Previous line management or team leader experience
- Background in plant hire, construction, depot or workshop operations
- Strong awareness of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices
- Relevant certifications (CPCS, FLT etc.)
- A full UK driving licence
