Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser (NVQ 2 level qualification - Dispensary Assistant or equivalent) to join our team. Required to work a minimum of 24 hours per week (Ideal days would be Monday: 9-6pm, Tuesday: 9-6pm and Friday: 9-6pm). In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring that patients receive the correct prescriptions in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy operations and a commitment to providing excellent patient care. Duties
- Accurately prepare and dispense medications as per prescriptions, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Assist pharmacists in medication administration and provide information to patients regarding their prescriptions.
- Maintain accurate records of medication dispensation and inventory management.
- Provide exceptional patient care by answering queries and addressing concerns regarding medications.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Keep the pharmacy area clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a pharmacy dispenser is highly desirable (NVQ 2 level qualification - Dispensary Assistant or equivalent). Training will be provided on how to use our PMR systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of medication administration procedures.
- Strong commitment to patient care and ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.

Pay: £12.97-£13.42 per hour
