Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive culinary experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food and service. Duties
- Assist the Executive Head Chef in managing daily kitchen activities, ensuring smooth and efficient operation.
- Supervise and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive working environment.
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of high-quality dishes in accordance with restaurant standards.
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
- Co-ordinating and administering Procure Wizard electronic ordering system, managing the process from order placement through to delivery and reconciliation of goods received against supplier invoices.
- Collaborate with the team to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes.
- Support in training junior staff members and ensuring they meet performance expectations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies across all kitchen operations.
- Assist in serving customers when required, providing excellent hospitality service.
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen or restaurant setting.
- Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Demonstrable team management skills with the ability to lead by example.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices within hospitality environments.
- Experience in food production, menu development, and maintaining high standards of quality.
- Proficient in the use of Procure Wizard for end-to-end stock ordering, including coordinating purchases, monitoring deliveries, and reconciling goods received with supplier invoices.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
- Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, along with familiarity with serving procedures.

- Competitive salary of £43.000, commensurate with experience. Working 5 days out of 7, 45 hours per week including breaks.
