Your Job:
- Support the Head Chef, Sous Chef and wider kitchen team with the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen.
- Maintain a consistent supply of clean crockery, cookware, equipment and kitchen utensils throughout service.
- Keep the kitchen, pot-wash, storage and back-of-house areas clean, organised and safe, completing daily cleaning duties and scheduled deep-cleaning tasks to the required standard.
- Follow cleaning schedules and ensure tasks are completed to the required standard.
- Assist with deliveries, stock storage, waste disposal and general kitchen duties when required.
- Work alongside the chef team to maintain excellent food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards.
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including the safe use and storage of cleaning chemicals.
- Support the team during busy periods and help create a positive, efficient working environment.
What You’ll Need:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or similar fast-paced environment is desirable, but full training will be provided.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Good attention to detail and a strong focus on cleanliness and hygiene.
- The ability to work efficiently as part of a team and use your own initiative.
- Good time-management and organisational skills.
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including mornings, evenings and weekends.
- The ability to carry out the physical aspects of the role, including standing for extended periods and safely moving kitchen equipment and supplies.
