About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Electrical Estimator / Project Manager to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong electrical background who can confidently manage projects from initial enquiry through to successful completion.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates and quotations, securing new work, and managing electrical projects to ensure they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating
- Prepare detailed and accurate electrical estimates and quotations.
- Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
- Carry out site surveys where required.
- Source and negotiate material and subcontractor prices.
- Produce competitive tenders while maintaining profitability.
- Liaise with clients during the tender process and respond to technical queries.
Project Management
- Manage electrical projects from award through to completion.
- Plan labour, materials, and programme requirements.
- Coordinate engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Monitor project costs, progress, and profitability.
- Attend site meetings and maintain strong client relationships.
- Ensure all work complies with current regulations, health & safety legislation, and company procedures.
- Manage variations, valuations, and project documentation.
- Support project handover, testing, commissioning, and final accounts.
Requirements
Essential
- Previous experience as an Electrician or in electrical estimating, project management, or a combined role.
- Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical installations.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Commercial awareness and attention to detail.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- ECS Card.
- SMSTS or SSSTS qualification.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
