We have a part time vacancy, which would include working Sunday, working on a permanent basis, however is conditional upon successfully completing the probationary period.
Ideally this position is suited to someone with prior experience with NVQ 2 in Medicines Counter Assistant (or equivalent). It would also be very good for a pharmacy student or someone who is studying and would like to work alongside there course.
the candidate must have previous retail experience and is willing to undertake the relevant training courses in order to progress.
As a Medicines Counter Assistant you will work under the Pharmacist's supervision and will assist with the sales of over the counter medicines, offering advice to customers on the provision of information, symptoms and products, as well as promoting the additional services that our pharmacy offers.
You will also be tasked with replenishing stock and supporting the pharmacy team. Medicines Counter Assistants need to be:
- accurate and methodical
- responsible
- able to pay attention to detail
- able to understand laws and guidelines on medicines
- able to carry out tasks under instruction
- to be interested in people’s health
- able to explain clearly to members of the public
- also need excellent communication, customer service, IT and manual skills.
NB we are looking for Day and Evening shifts.
