About the Role
We have an awesome opportunity for a motivated and detail-driven
Financial Accountant to join our finance team, supporting Australia and New Zealand.
This is a broad and hands-on role offering exposure across the agricultural industry with a company who represents some of the world’s best brands.
What you will get to do…
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including analysis and reporting for both NZ and AU companies
- Complete balance sheet and bank reconciliations, including intercompany accounts
- Manage daily cashflow and banking activities across NZ and AU, supporting cashflow forecasting
- Support month-end and year-end processes, including audit coordination and delivery of supporting documentation
- Deliver financial analysis and insights, including expense commentary and provision review
- Maintain fixed asset registers, including depreciation, additions, disposals, and audit support
- Ensure statutory compliance, including BAS, GST, FBT, PAYGI and statistical reporting
- Assist with budgeting/forecasting and insurance renewals, partnering with budget holders and business leaders
- Drive continuous improvement, support finance projects, maintain strong financial controls, and build effective stakeholder relationships
What we are looking for
You bring strong finance and accounting experience, backed by a solid understanding of accounting principles and reporting.
Ideally, you are a qualified Chartered Accountant (or close to completion) with a degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting, and have either gained commercial experience or are looking to step out of BAS/public practice into a broader business role.
You’re confident using systems, with strong computer proficiency with ERP exposure being an advantage, and you communicate clearly and effectively across all levels of the business.
Alongside your technical skills, you are someone who enjoys being part of a team and building strong working relationships. You’re self-driven, comfortable managing your own workload, and take pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work.
