Overview
We are recruiting a Pig Stockperson to join our agricultural team in Newport Shropshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of day to day pig care and welfare.
We pride ourselves on producing some of the best tasting pork in the country for the fresh pork and charcuterie markets.
We offer a workplace pension and 28 days holiday per year, made up of 24 days plus 4 bank holidays.
Responsibilities
- Providing daily care, checking and feeding for pigs daily.
- Administer treatments, vaccinations and medicines as required.
- Maintain high levels of hygiene and biosecurity.
- Assist with the organisation and maintenance of pig paddocks and grassland management, electric fencing.
- Operate a telehandler.
- Maintaining accurate records of animal health, feed schedules, and maintenance activities.
Personal specification
- Experience of working with pigs required
- Be confident with treatments and vaccinations
- Hard working, reliable and enjoy working outdoors
- Good attention to detail for the individual care of all stock
Pay: £38,000.00-£43,000.00 per year
