Inventory Controller / Administrator Part Time
We require a Part-Time Inventory Controller for our medical servicing and supplies business in Foundry Lane, Horsham.
Reporting to the Warehouse and Logistics Manager, the Inventory Controller will play a vital role in maintaining the stock integrity within the warehouse, service vans and service centre.
The role of the Inventory controller will be responsible for:
- Running and reconciliation of Inventory checks on a regularly basis.
- Adding and maintaining the stratification codes of the products that are held in the inventory.
- Performing random checks and audits of Inventory, as and when needed.
- Update of the computer system when inventory discrepancies are found.
- Updating Inventory information on the computer system, to ensure visibility of incoming inventory to prevent stock outs.
- Ordering of stock from UK supplier, as and when required.
- Running data reports to ensure the minimum and maximum levels of inventory are in line with the sales data.
- Updating Inventory information on the computer system, to ensure visibility of incoming inventory to prevent stock outs.
- Informing supplier of incorrect items received against items ordered.
- Maintaining records of pricing updates and other relevant information
- Advising the Sales department of lead times for customer orders at the point of pre-ordering.
- Progress chasing already placed orders to keep the sales team and their customers up to date with the delivery date.
- Creating New part numbers and suppliers on the in-house computer system.
The role will involve various aspects of purchasing administration:
- Placing and updating purchase orders
- Chasing suppliers and adding new suppliers/pricing to our in-house system
- Entering and reconciling supplier invoices on Xero as well as arranging credits for price/stock discrepancies where required
- Liaising with Sales on back-order lead times
- Adjusting reorder levels when required
Requirements
A sound working knowledge of Microsoft office and warehouse inventory management software.
Accuracy in numerical record-keeping and data reconciliation.
Ability to work collaboratively with the warehouse, sales and finance.
Experience: 1 to 2 years of previous experience in a logistical warehouse or a supply chain environment.
A sound understanding of inventory and stock control.
Understand of Purchasing and supply.
The hours of work are Monday to Friday 9.30am to 2.30pm (25 hours/week).( Hours can be flexible between 9am and 5pm, based on 25 hours per week).
The salary will be around £13.50-£14.50 per hour, dependent on experience. The company offers a pension and private health care scheme.
