Job Overview
We are seeking a diligent and dedicated Housekeeping Assistant to join our dynamic team at St.Andrews Forest lodges. The ideal candidate will play a part in ensuring the cleanliness and comfort of our 4 star self catering lodges with hot tubs. Your attention to detail will contribute to the overall satisfaction of our guests. Working hours range from 16-24 (Mondays and Fridays are essential and possible Saturday shifts from time to time) and it is essential that the successful applicant has their own car to commute to and from the park as we are not situated near a reliable bus route.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning tasks to ensure all lodges are maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness
- Change bed linen, replace towels and restock amenities
- Hoover, mop and dust
- Clean and sanitise kitchen and bathroom areas
- Inspect lodges for any damages or maintenance issues
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively
- Follow health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest or client requests courteously and efficiently.
- The Saturday shift will consist of checking hot tub chemical levels and the handling of laundry duties including washing, drying and pressing of bed linen, training will be given.
Requirements
- Previous cleaning experience in housekeeping or a similar role is preferred but not required as training will be given
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently as well as part of a team
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks to tight deadlines
- Flexibility to work weekends and cover holidays as needed
