About the Role
We are a growing UK-licensed betting operator looking for a Customer Support & Compliance Executive to join our team. This role sits at the intersection of customer service and regulatory compliance, supporting our customers while helping us maintain the highest standards required under our UK Gambling Commission licence.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer enquiries via email, live chat, and phone, covering topics including promotions/offers, deposits, withdrawals, and betting queries Handle Responsible Gambling (RG) interactions with customers showing signs of gambling-related harm, in line with LCCP requirements Review and set customer deposit/betting limits in accordance with company policy Assess whether customers require KYC (Know Your Customer) verification or Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), and process the relevant checks Conduct outbound calls to customers where sensitive issues (RG concerns, source of funds, account verification) require direct conversation Identify and escalate technical issues to the relevant technical/platform team Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and compliance decisions Stay up to date with Gambling Commission regulations, AML requirements, and internal policy changes
Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service, ideally within the gambling/betting industry (not essential but advantageous) Understanding of, or willingness to quickly learn, UK gambling regulations (LCCP, AML, Safer Gambling requirements) Confident and empathetic telephone manner, able to handle sensitive conversations professionally Strong written communication skills for email/live chat support High attention to detail, particularly when reviewing documentation and financial information Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement on compliance decisions Flexibility to work some evening/weekend shifts (adjust based on your actual rota needs)
