Electrician’s Mate
Location: Manchester and Lancashire

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Electrician’s Mate to join our growing team, working across Manchester, Lancashire and the surrounding areas.
This role offers a clear career path into the fire and security industry. Full training will be provided, with the opportunity to develop into a qualified Fire & Security Engineer.
Key responsibilities
- Assist engineers with the installation of fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms and access-control systems
- Help install cables, containment, equipment and electrical accessories
- Prepare tools, equipment and materials for each job
- Learn how to test, commission and maintain fire and security systems
- Keep work areas tidy, organised and safe
- Follow instructions, risk assessments and health and safety procedures
- Communicate professionally with customers, site managers and other trades
- Complete basic job records and documentation
- Travel to customer sites across Manchester, Lancashire and surrounding areas
Essential requirements
- A valid ECS or CSCS card
- Full UK driving licence
- Reliable, punctual and willing to learn
- Confident using hand and power tools
- Able to work well independently and as part of a team
- Professional attitude and good communication skills
- Genuine interest in developing a career in the fire and security industry
Previous electrical, construction or installation experience is desirable, but specialist fire and security experience is not required because training will be provided.
