Main Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces in residents’ rooms and common areas.
- Ensure a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene, and tidiness throughout the care home.
- Manage laundry services, including washing, folding, and distributing linens and residents’ clothing.
- Ensure all laundry activities adhere to infection control guidelines.
- Ensure that daily and deep cleaning schedules are adhered to.
- Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene.
- Ensure that all cleaning equipment is correctly and safely used and kept in a safe condition.
- Monitor and maintain supplies of cleaning and hygiene products.
- Report any shortages or equipment malfunctions promptly.
- Carry out any other reasonable instructions.
- Attend and be knowledgeable of all statutory training sessions including, Fire, Health and Safety, Moving and Handling and COSHH etc.

Previous experience in care or an SVQ Level 2 in Health Social Care would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
