Duties
- Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and sterilised.
- Provide excellent patient care, including explaining procedures, reassuring anxious patients, and ensuring their comfort throughout treatments.
- Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems, documenting treatments and observations efficiently.
- Prepare treatment rooms before appointments, ensuring cleanliness and organisation of equipment and supplies.
- Support with infection control protocols, including sterilisation of instruments and maintaining a hygienic environment.
- Manage appointment schedules, confirming bookings, rescheduling as necessary, and maintaining organisational efficiency within the practice.
- Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Occasional reception duties.
Qualifications
- Qualification in dental nursing.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to reassure and inform patients clearly.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining patient records and managing appointment systems.
- Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
