Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled foreman Metal Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in fabricating, assembling, and welding various metal components. This role requires proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as a solid understanding of sheet metal work. The Metal Fabricator will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and precision of our products.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate metal components according to specifications and drawings.
- Assemble parts and structures using various welding techniques.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet industry standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to improve fabrication processes and efficiency.
- Utilise basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
Experience
- Proven experience in metal fabrication or a related field is preferred.
- Able to run a team and meet deadlines
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings.
- Familiarity with sheet metal work is advantageous.
- Competence in using various hand tools and power tools effectively.
- Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations are essential.
- Experience with a variety of welding processes.
