Job Summary
The role is part of the Darley Dale Leadership Team, and is responsible for site operations including Production, and Manufacturing Engineering. Critical success factors include ensuring the appropriate resources and leadership are in place to meet operational KPI’s and strategic goals, in a way that supports the FSG values of Quality, Integrity, Commitment and Collaboration, and champions site safety using SQCDP methodology.
Key Objectives of the Role:

Promotes and maintains an effective EHS culture

Overall responsibility of the management of site Operational Excellence driving SQCDP, Visual Factory and Wellbeing & Engagement.

Meets operational KPI’s, and identifies and puts plans to place to drive continuous improvement in operational performance

Establishes and maintains appropriate systems for measuring necessary aspects of operational management and development.

Effectively leads the operation teams to create a high performing team including succession planning for business continuity.

Utilises performance management tools including performance development plans, skills matrices and coaching to develop the capability of the team

Works collaboratively with other functions including EHS, Quality, Supply Chain and Engineering, to drive the performance of the site.

Supports the sites capital expenditure processes to deliver the identified benefits.

Manages inventory levels and control including effective execution of stock take

Develop and implement quarterly business plans identifying activities and priorities – implement, communicate and champion operational requirements and solutions in line with the strategic business plan, reviewing the plan regularly and reacting to the needs of the business
The Applicant:
- Preferably educated to Degree level within a relevant discipline

Previous senior operational management experience

Evidence of defining and delivering an operational strategy

Able to demonstrate experience of building effective teams and the implementation of business improvement processes

Ability to effectively build and manage relationships

Proven inspirational and strong leadership qualities

Professional and positive attitude with a high standard of work ethics. Proactive, hands on approach.
