We are seeking a passionate and energetic individual to join our team as a Bank Cook, to cover holidays and sickness In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals that meet high standards of food safety and quality. Your culinary skills will contribute to creating a welcoming environment where residents feel cared for and satisfied. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook nutritious meals in accordance with dietary requirements and safety standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, mixing, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
- Follow food safety regulations and ensure proper storage of ingredients to prevent contamination
- Support meal service by serving residents with care and professionalism
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Collaborate with team members to plan menus that cater to diverse dietary preferences
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen or restaurant setting
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and hygiene standards
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques suitable for a care home environment
- Previous experience working in a kitchen, restaurant, or similar culinary role preferred
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for working effectively with team members and residents
