Working pattern:
- Monday: 11:30 am to 6:30 pm (30 minute unpaid break) = 6.5 paid hours
- Tuesday: 11:30 am to 6:30 pm (30 minute unpaid break) = 6.5 paid hours
Total paid hours: 13 hours.
The systems we use in our Practice are EMIS web, Docman an applicant with previous experience on these systems is desirable but not essential as training is provided in house.
The Post holder will:
-Review all incoming FootFall and telephone requests and categorise according to clinical urgency and administrative need.
-Identify red-flag symptoms and escalate immediately to the duty GP.
-Allocate clinical queries to GPs, nurses, or pharmacists as appropriate.
-Assign administrative tasks (e.g. fit notes, medication queries, test results) to the correct workflow.
- Act as the central point of contact for patients, distribution of information, messages, and enquiries for the clinical team.
- You will use computer systems to capture patient information along with being expected to demonstrate self-directed learning and practice.
- Working quickly and calmly as a call handler and on the reception desk.
- Take essential details about the patient's condition by asking relevant questions using a triage protocol and logging the information onto a computer system, sign positing them to the most appropriate source of care
