Overview
The Governors at Shuttleworth College are seeking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead to join our safeguarding team. This role represents a rare opportunity for an experienced individual to play a vital role in ensuring that all our students are safe, supported and able to thrive both inside and outside of school.
About the Role
Act as a central point of contact for new safeguarding concerns
Manage a case load at level 3 on the Lancashire Continuum of Need
Make referrals to Children’s Social Care, Police and other relevant agencies
Support vulnerable families in accessing appropriate support through referrals and ongoing engagement
Ensure accurate and timely recording of all safeguarding information on CPOMS
The Ideal Candidate
Has experience of working within a safeguarding role either within a school or other relevant agency
Is an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
Has experience of multi-agency working
