Amalga LTD is a fast-growing provider of maintenance, refurbishment and construction services within the aviation sector. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Night Shift Carpenter.
This role is primarily based at Heathrow Airport, with travel required to Gatwick, Stansted, London City and Luton Airports when operationally required.
Working alongside our experienced Projects and Maintenance teams, you'll be involved in retail fit-outs, refurbishments, reactive maintenance and planned works within live airport environments.
What You'll Be Doing
- First and second fix carpentry.
- Retail fit-outs and commercial refurbishments.
- Installation of doors, frames, ironmongery and architectural joinery.
- Repairs to ceilings, partitions, flooring, counters and display units.
- Planned and reactive maintenance works.
- Reading technical drawings and specifications.
- Working alongside other trades to deliver projects safely and efficiently.
- Maintaining exceptional standards of workmanship.
- Ensuring all Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times.
Essential Skills & Experience
We're looking for someone who has:
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Carpentry & Joinery (or City & Guilds equivalent).
- Demonstrable experience within commercial carpentry, maintenance or fit-out projects.
- Excellent knowledge of first and second fix carpentry.
- High-quality finishing skills and strong attention to detail.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to travel between airport locations as required.
Desirable Qualifications
- CSCS Card.
- IPAF.
- PASMA.
- Experience working in airports, retail, commercial buildings or live environments.

- Competitive PAYE hourly rate of £25.00–£27.00, dependent on experience.
- Permanent full-time employment.
- Monday to Friday night shifts (8:00pm–4:00am).
