Park Side Kitchen is one of Cardiff's busiest brunch and all-day dining rooms — a quality-led independent restaurant where the food, the coffee and the service are all held to the same standard. The room moves fast. The team is sharp. We're hiring waiting staff to join it.
We're looking for people who already know what a good floor feels like. People who can read a table, carry a station through a Saturday brunch service, and still talk about the eggs like they actually care. If you've worked busy services in good restaurants and you want a kitchen-to-floor operation that takes the work seriously, this is for you.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Running a section confidently across breakfast, brunch and all-day service
- Taking orders accurately, recommending dishes, and talking through specials and dietary needs with real product knowledge
- Working closely with the kitchen and bar to keep service flowing at pace
- Delivering food and drinks to a proper standard — temperature, timing, presentation
- Reading the room: knowing when to chat, when to step back, and when to step in
- Handling payments, opening / closing duties and section resets to a high standard
- Backing your teammates from pre-shift to last table out
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Previous restaurant floor experience (essential)
- Background in busy casual dining, brunch or premium hospitality preferred
- Calm under volume — you find a busy service satisfying, not stressful
- A warm, sharp personality and confidence with guests
- Strong attention to detail and a high bar for what "ready" looks like
- Reliable, punctual, and a teammate who pulls weight without being asked
PAY AND BENEFITS
- £12.71 per hour + tronc, working out at approximately £14.50 per hour all in
