Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to specified recipes and standards
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection to optimise quality and efficiency
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to minimise waste
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods
- Serve meals efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and customer service
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently, including proper handling of food allergens and dietary requirements
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a chef within a restaurant or catering environment
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety standards, and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Previous experience in meal preparation, serving, or kitchen operations is highly desirable
- A recognised culinary qualification or relevant training will be considered an advantage

Pay: £15.00-£16.50 per hour
