In this vital role, you will lead a dedicated team of childcare professionals, creating a warm, safe, and stimulating environment for infants. Your leadership will ensure that each child's developmental needs are met with enthusiasm, professionalism, and care. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily operations of the baby room, ensuring high standards of care and safety are maintained at all times
- Supervise and support a team of childcare assistants, providing guidance, training, and motivation to deliver exceptional childcare services
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to share progress updates, address concerns, and foster positive relationships
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, nursery policies, and early childhood education standards
- Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and care plans
- Foster a nurturing environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and confidence in infants
Skills
- Proven management and leadership skills within a childcare or nursery setting
- Extensive experience working with children, particularly infants or in early childhood education roles
- Strong understanding of childcare best practices and health & safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills in English to engage with children, parents, and team members effectively
- Ability to organize activities that support developmental milestones in infants
- Valid driving license is preferred for transportation or outreach duties
- Passionate about early childhood development with a caring and energetic approach to caregiving
- Two years experience with children aged under 24 months
