Active Day Camps is recruiting After School Club Support staff, with the opportunity to progress to Lead Coach.
About Active Day Camps
We provide inclusive, specialist activities for children aged 3–12 through:
- After-school clubs
- Holiday camps (year-round)
- Birthday parties
- Weekend football and netball sessions
Our programmes include multi-activity clubs, football, arts & crafts, drama, and specialist clubs such as iBrick Lego Clubs.
The organisation’s commitment to safeguarding children means that DBS checks are required. The role involves regulated activity with children and the organisation follows safer recruitment practices.
Role Overview
You will support and help lead after-school multi-activity sessions for groups of up to 20 children, helping deliver fun, safe and engaging activities.
There are also opportunities to work at holiday camps, birthday parties and weekend sports clubs, in addition to term-time work (from Spring term onwards).
Working Hours
- Monday–Friday
- 3:00pm–6:00pm (times may vary by club)
Part-time role during term time, with optional work during half-term and weekends.
Preferred: commitment of at least two full school terms.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and lead activity sessions
- Maintain a safe, suitable base area
- Follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures
- Ensure children’s needs and safety are met at all times
- Encourage participation in all activities
- Engage with children and adapt sessions to their interests
- Assist with setting up and packing away equipment
- Follow registration and collection procedures
- Report injuries or safeguarding concerns to management
Person Specification
- Experience working with children preferred (not essential)
- Experience teaching sport preferred (not essential)
- Friendly, reliable and enthusiastic
- Confident working with groups of children
DBS:
If you do not already hold an enhanced DBS, one will be arranged through Active Day Camps before starting.
